• WORKSESSION MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />HELD AT CITY HALL <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, 2008 <br />Members Present: Chair Nystrom, Commissioners Anderson, Boese, Larson, Niziolek <br />and Paige. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Scheldt <br />Staff Present: Bill Maertz, Parks and Recreation Director; Chris Leeseberg, <br />Planner/Park Planner; Tonya Love, Recording Secretary <br />1. Call Meeting To Ordex <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the wok session meeting of the Elk River <br />Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chair <br />Nystrom. <br />2. Consider Minutes of February 13, 2008 Parks & Recreation Commission Meetine <br />• MOVED BY COMMISSIONER PAIGE AND SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER CARSON TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 13, 2008 <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />3. Open Mike -None <br />4. Work Session -None <br />5.1. Discuss Outdoor Facility Use Fees <br />Recreation Administrative Coordinator, Tonya Love shared park fees and race fees <br />that have been collected for both Woodland Trails Park and Hillside City Park. <br />Other items discussed by the commission members included, what fees to be listed <br />on the Outdoor Facility Use Application, Athletic complex/Concession Stand use <br />fees and seasonal Association use fees. <br />Director of Parks and Recreation, Bill Maertz shared the idea of creating a group <br />called "Friends of the Elk River Parks" that would be similar to the Friends of the <br />Elk River Library. More information will be brought to the April Commission <br />meeting. <br />• 6. Adjournment <br />
