Item # 5.3. <br />City of <br />El: <br />fiver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Lori Johnson, City Administrator <br />DATE: March 9, 2009 <br />SUBJECT: Continuation of Council Planning Workshop <br />At the February 9 workshop, the Council identified a list of future projects and initiatives for <br />the various boards and commissions to address. The next part of the planning process is to <br />do the same for the City. Developing this list of projects and initiatives for this year and <br />future years helps the staff to implement and achieve the Council's priorities. It also helps to <br />focus our resources on the items that are important to the Council which is essential in times <br />such as these when our financial resources are stretched thin. <br />Please refer to my February 2 Council Planning Workshop memo fox additional background <br />information on this topic. That memo includes a worksheet for listing the projects you <br />would like to discuss on Monday. Following Monday's meeting I will compile the results of <br />both planning workshops and present the information back to the Council for final review. <br />
