Kiver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager <br />DATE: May 3, 2007 <br />SUBJECT: Staff Report <br />Hot Topic) of the Month <br />Summer: With our biggest guide ever, we are busy working on staff and putting everyone <br />into the schedule. Curriculum is being developed on an ongoing basis for Lions Academy. <br />Ice Show: Staff is busy preparing for the 10`'' annual ice show at the Arena. <br />Flag Football League: This brand new program began April 26~'. <br />Sand Volleyball League: With the current closing of the bowling alley, we have been asked <br />to offer Sand Volleyball Leagues at Orono Park. The league will start the last week of May <br />and run 10 weeks. We are retrofitting the courts with netting to prevent softballs from <br />coming over. <br />Fallen Oak Dualthon: This event is being sponsored by Ramsey Bicycle and they have <br />donated approximately $1,000 in prizes and t-shirts. <br />Facility Use <br />Park - 6 hours <br />Park Shelter -10.5 hours <br />Trails - 14 hours <br />Indoor Facilities - 116 hours <br />Ball Field -134.5 hours <br />TOTAL USE - 281 hours <br />
