Initial summer planning is complete and now the details are
being worked out and curriculum is being prepared.
• We are researching a summer roving playground type program and are looking to
purchase an enclosed trailer that would house equipment, tables, chairs, etc. This
trailer would also potentially be available for rent for block parties and such.
• The 10`" annual ice show takes place in May and most of the Recreation division staff
members have a role in this event.
• We also had our 1" annual Flashlight Egg Hunt with over 200 children participating
at Lions Park Center.
• Adult Softball is full with 52 teams, a record for us.
• The downtown Riverfront Concert Series is being sponsored by The Bank of Elk
River and First National Bank. Together they donated $7,200 which completely
covers the cost of the events. They are also both allowing use of their parking to
accommodate the crowds.
• We are still accepting applications for the new Farmers Market at Orono Park.
• The Amazing Family and Friends Race takes place Apri121" and we are still accepting
registration for this program as well.
March Programs
• Yoga • Eager Elks Soccer
• Parent and Tot Tumbling • F.ager Elks Sports Sampler
• Preschool Tumbling • BLAST
• Fit 4 U Cardio • Flashlight Egg Hunt
• Parent and Tot Open Playtime • Open Gyms
