Ji
Elk River
Municipal Utilities
13069 Orono Parkway • P.O. Box 430
Elk River, MN 55330-0430
December 1, ?008
To: Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission
Jerry Takle
John Dietz
Jerry Gumphrey
From: Troy Adams
Subject: Vehicle Maintenance
Phone: 763.441.2020
Fax: 763.441.8099
Well maintained vehicles and equipment are key components to productivity and safety. Elk
River Municipal Utilities currently uses the City of Elk River for much of their vehicle and
equipment maintenance needs. However, some of the work is done in-house and some is taken
to third-party entities. Due to conservative budgets and recent staffing changes, this is an
appropriate time to revisit the maintenance relationship between Elk River Municipal Utilities
and the City of Elk River. There may be opportunities to improve productivity and safety while
reducing costs by utilizing additional services of the City. (Verbal Discussion)
