RESOLUTION 96-39 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE CITY <br />OF ELK RIVER POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Elk River City Council has authorized the City to enter <br />into a grant agreement between the Minnesota Department <br />of Pubhc Safety and the City of Elk River Pohce Department; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the agreement pertains to the Community Oriented Pohcing <br />(COPS) Grant Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Administrator and Pohce Chief have been given the <br />authority to sign and enter into the above-mentioned <br />agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that on July 8, 1996, the City <br /> Council unanimously voted to authorize the City of Elk River <br /> Pohce Department to enter into an agreement for the COPS <br /> Grant Program with the Minnesota Department of Pubhc <br /> Safety. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 8th day of July, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Patrick D.
