ver T°~ <br />FROM: <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Mayor &, City Council <br />Pat Klaers <br />DATE: June 14, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Meeting Schedule <br />• <br />ITEM 8.2. <br />Mayor Duitsman has indicated that he will be out of town on Monday, July 17, 1995. <br />This is the third Monday of the month and the council meeting which most of our public <br />hearings are scheduled. Please see the attached draft Planning Commission agenda for <br />June 27, 1995. All of these items would typically be heard by the City Council on July <br />17, 1995 if they received a Planning Commission recommendation. Items on this draft <br />agenda that require 4/5th vote are 5.9, 5.10 and 5.11. Staff is planning to readvertise the <br />public hearing notices for these items in the Star News for July 24 and the revised council <br />public hearing schedule will be announced to everyone in attendance at the Planning <br />Commission meeting on June 27, 1995. Items 5.1-5.8 do not require 4/5th vote by the <br />City Council and will remain scheduled to be heard by the City Council on June 17, <br />1995. The only way to change items 5.1-5.8 to be heard by the council on July 24 is by <br />the same method as noted above: notify everyone in attendance at the June 27, 1995 <br />Plamung Commission meeting and to readvertise these items. As 5.1-5.8 do not require a <br />4/5th vote it seems appropriate to have these heard by the council as scheduled on July <br />17. <br />Additionally I understand that there is some discussion about the EDA meeting in August <br />being changed from its regularly scheduled second Monday of the month. This will be an <br />EDA discussion item on July 10, 1995 but also affects the City Council schedule for <br />August. <br /> <br />June 26 - Overlay assessment public hearing <br /> East Highway 10 Utilities worksession <br />July 3 - No meeting scheduled <br />July 10 - EDA meeting <br />July 17 - Planning, Building and Zoning public hearing night <br />July 24 - Regular City Council meeting <br />July 31 - 5th Monday of the month.....if a City Council meeting is to be held <br /> it would be a special me&ting and needs to be called by the <br /> City Council on either July 17 or July 24. <br />August 7 - Regular City Council meeting <br />August 14 - EDA meeting <br />August 21 - Planning, Building and Zoning public hearing night <br />August 28 - 1996 Budget worksession <br />13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
