RESOLUTION 03- 09 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />WRIGHT COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> FOR BRIDGE #86515 <br /> <br />this agreement is made and entered into by and between the City of Elk River <br />hereinafter referred to as the "City" and the County of Wright hereinafter referred <br />to as the "County." <br /> <br />it is deemed to be the interest of all parties that the duties and responsibilities of <br />both the City and the County as to maintenance on Bridge #86515 and its <br />approaches should be clearly defined. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure maintenance; <br /> <br />CITY MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> <br />(2) <br />(3) <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Maintenance of streetlights <br />Removal of snow from sidewalk <br />Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach (includes: turf <br />maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage, and riprap maintenance) <br />Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing sand/dirt from <br />expansion joints <br />Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of bridge structure <br /> <br />COUNTY MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (I) Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches <br /> (2) Signing for bridge and approaches <br /> (3) Maintenance of slopes/berms, and roadway on south approach (includes: turf <br /> maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage, and riprap maintenance) <br /> (4) Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar), <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the agreement between the City and County shah <br />be for a one-year period and run from January 1, 2003, to December 31, 2003. All maintenance <br />responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no payments will be required for the individual <br />maintenance work, which conforms to the areas stated herein and performed under authorization of <br />either the City or County. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, in the event that the structure needs major <br />maintenance/rehabilitation an agreement detailing the work and shared costs must be approved <br />and accepted by the City and County. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 10th day of February, 2003. <br /> Steph~[n'ie A.
