Following Council discussion, staff was directed <br />by council motion to draft the following ordinance amendments. <br /> <br />A. Heritage Preservation Commission <br /> <br />An ordinance amending section 2-212 of the existing ordinance relating to the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission by deleting the language "and must reside <br />within the city" and replacing it with the following language: "it is expected that a <br />preference be given to Elk River residents, but residency by itself shall not be a <br />disqualification." <br /> <br />B. Ice Arena Commission <br /> <br />An ordinance amending section 2-252(a) of the existing ordinance relating to the <br />Ice Arena Commission by deleting the language "each member of the commission <br />shall be a resident of the city" and replacing it with the following language: "it is <br />expected that a preference be given to Elk River residents, but residency by itself <br />shall not be a disqualification." <br /> <br /> <br />
