• RESOLUTION 08- 67 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ACCEPT <br />THE MINNESOTA DNR REGIONAL TRAIL CONNECTIONS PROGRAM GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the grant application made to the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources for the Federal Recreational Trail Grant Program. The application <br />is to construct approximately 2.6 miles of paved trail for the Great Northern Trail System. The trail <br />system is located within Woodland Trails Park, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes the fifty (50) percent match requirement for the <br />Federal Recreational Trail grant program, and has secured the matching funds, and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Elk River agrees to accept the grant <br />award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced <br />project. The City of Elk River will comply with all applicable laws, environmental requirements and <br />regulations as stated in the grant agreement, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Elk River names the fiscal agent <br />for the City of Elk River for this project as: <br />Tim Simon <br />Finance Directar <br />City of Elk River <br />13065 Orono Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City of Elk River hereby assures the Great Northern Trail <br />will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years. <br />The above resolution was adopted by the City Council of Elk River this 15t1i day of September, 2008. <br />~~ _,~ <br />~~ <br />Step nie Klinzing, or <br />ATTEST: <br />f,, <br />~~--'`. <br />• Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />
