MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2001 Members Present: Members Absent: Staff Present: Mayor Klinzing, Councilmembers Dietz, Kuester, Matin, and Tveite None City Administrator Pat Klaers, City Clerk Sandra Peine, Finance Director Lori Johnson, and Senior Planner Scott Harlicker Call Meetin.q To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Klinzing. 2. Consider 3/26/2001 A.qenda 4.1. The Council consented to hear Open Mike prior to the Financial Strategy Presentation. COUNCILMEMBER TVEITE MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNClLMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. Consider Consent A,qenda COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS: 3.1 .A. 3.1.B. 3.2. 3/12/2001 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - APPROVED 3/19/2001 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - APPROVED CHECK REGISTER - APPROVED COUNClLMEMBER TVEITE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. Open Mike Robin and Scott Fitzgerald - 19374 Dodge Street, requested that Council come to a solution on the Hillside 8th plat. They indicated that the people in the area want the road to have a cul-de-sac. They further noted that ideas brought before the Council has not addressed the Council by the residents. Bill Gutzweiler - 19388 Dodge Street - stated that he and his neighbors are in favor of a cul-de-sac in the Hillside 8th Addition to protect the children. Key Financial Strate.qies Presentation Finance Director Lori Johnson introduced Rusty Fifield from Ehlers & Associates, Inc. She noted that this would be the first of several workshops revolving around the City's financial planning. Rusty gave a presentation that focused on trends and projections and policy issues that should be addressed.
