RESOLUTION 01-07 <br /> <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />APPROVE LAYOUT FOR THE PARK AND RIDE FACILITY NEAR TRUNK <br />HIGHWAY 10 AND TYLER STREET/171sT AVENUE INTERSECTION MN/DOT <br />PROJECT S.P. NO. 7102 - 54 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has <br />prepared a preliminary layout for the construction of a park and <br />Ride Facility near T.H. 10 and Tyler Street/171st Avenue, within the <br />corporate limits of Elk River, and seeks the approval thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said preliminary layouts are on file in the Office of the Department <br />of Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, <br />and identified as Layout No. 1, near T.H. 10 and Tyler Street/171st <br />Avenue, Elk River, Propose Park and Ride facility, prepared <br />January 17, 2001. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br />River as follows: <br /> <br />That said preliminary Layout No. 1 prepared January 17, 2001, for the <br />improvement of said Trunk Highway within the corporate limits be and <br />hereby is approved, with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That MN/DOT continue to work with City staff and the developer of Elk <br /> River Station on final design of the facility; <br /> <br />The final layout/design of the facility shall include sidewalks to <br />encourage pedestrian access and landscaping to be approved by the <br />City; <br /> <br />That MN/DOT work with the City on the timing of each phase of the <br />project and which improvements will be installed as part of each <br />phase. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Elk River City Council this 20th day of February 2001. <br /> <br />Stephan Klinzing, Mayor <br /> <br />Sandra Peine, C~y Clerk <br /> <br />S :\PLANNING\RESOLUTI\PARKRIDE.DOC <br /> <br /> <br />
