Commissioner Dana
Anderson was appointed to serve on the Planning Commission, and Commissioner Lana
Huberty was hired by the City Recreation Department. The City has received two
applications to fill these vacancies; one from Don Polston-Hork, and the other from James
Nystrom. Mr. Nystrom will be unable to attend the March 18th Council Meeting for an
interview, but will be at the April 15th Council Meeting. Ms. Hork will be available to be
interviewed by the City Council. Staff recommends that Ms. Hork be appointed to serve a
three-year term on the Park and Recreation Commission. As Mr. Nystrom is a long-term
resident of the City, the Council may wish to appoint Mr. Nystrom to the Commission
without an interview.
