As of April 5~h, funding for the Northstar Corridor was included in the <br />Senate bonding bill but not in the House bill. Funding was also included in the Senate <br />transportation finance bill but not in the House bill. The final decision regarding funding will <br />be worked out in conference committees. An overview of federal funding was presented, <br />included in the presentation was how the budget for Northstar compares to similar projects <br />in other parts of the country. It turns out that the actual spending for Northstar is under the <br />industry average for similar projects. The Final Environmental Impact Statement has been <br />completed and the 30 day comment period has begun. A record of decision is expected by <br />June.
