Police Department

IiNFORMATJC:

MEMORANDUM

TO:

FROM:

DATE:

SUBJECT:

Mayor and City Council

Thomas D. Zerwas, Chief of Police

July 19, 2002

City Prosecutor's Office

This memo is to inform the City Council that Jennifer Snyder completed her orientation
period on June 25, 2002 and Christopher Johnson completed his orientation period on July
6, 2OO2.

Chris and Jennifer have proven themselves to be a very effective team for the new City
Prosecutor's Office. As my staff and I have witnessed, Chris and Jennifer have
demonstrated significant motivation, dedication and tenacity towards their jobs for this new
office.

Recently, Chris was asked by Fire Chief West to draft a new ordinance regulating legal
fireworks. Within days this was accomplished. Approximately one and a half months ago
Steve Rohlf made a request for Chris to have the Babinski house demolished. Agar, within
a short period of time, Chris took the necessary action and the problem was quickly
resolved. These are just two examples of some of the civil projects that they have resolved.

From the criminal aspect, again, a great job is being performed. There is not a backlog of
criminal cases and Chris' goal is to keep it that way. I cannot express enough how pleased
and fortunate I am to have Chris and Jennifer in our City Prosecutor's Office.

If you have a chance, stop in to meet them and thank them for the outstanding job they are
doing.

If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.
