RESOLUTION 00-02 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND WRIGHT COUNTY <br /> FOR BRIDGE #86515 <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City <br />of Elk River, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and the County Wright, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "County." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the <br />duties and responsibilities of both the City and the County as to maintenance <br />on Bridge #86515 and its approaches should be clearly defined. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure <br />maintenance: <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />CITY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br />(1) Maintenance of street lights; <br />(2) Removal of snow from sidewalk; <br />(3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach (includes: <br /> turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap <br /> maintenance); <br />(4) Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing sand/dirt <br /> from expansion joints; <br />(5) Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of bridge <br /> structure. <br /> <br />COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br />(1) Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches; <br />(2) Signing for bridge and approaches; <br />(3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on south approach (includes: <br /> turf maintenance, bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap <br /> maintenance; <br />(4) Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar). <br /> <br /> The agreement between the City and County shall be for a two year <br />period and run from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2001. All maintenance <br />responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no payments will be <br /> <br /> <br />
