Any expansion would require a conditional use permit, including those
mandated by the state or federal government.
This puts the Ciry is a position where it cannot react to residents' concerns raised during a public hearing,
as the Waste Water Treatment Plant (including all trunks, lift stations, etc serving the plant) represents a
significant capital investment, and relocating it is not an option.) The ordinance, if approved, would
allow amunicipally-owned plant as a permitted use.
Planning Commission Discussion
The Planning Commission wanted to ensure that the proposed ordinance was not drafted to avoid citizen
comment. Staff assured them that was not the case.
Public Comment
No comments were received either in support or opposition.
Attachments
• Staff Report to Planning Commission dated February 12, 2008
• Ordinance
ACtIOn Motion by Second by Vote
Follow Up
C:ADocuments and Settings\jmillec\I,ocal Settings\Temporary Internet piles\OLK31s\llction Requested - I-1 ordinance.doc
