BoX 490
Elk River, MN 55330
RE: COUNTY ROAD 12/13 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
Dear Council Members:
As you are aware, this improvement project was bid approximately nine months ago and
has been awarded to Dave Perkins Contracting contingent upon all necessary easements and
permits being granted. The last of these was the petition for outletting into County Ditch
#10 which was recently approved by the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners. We
CIVIiENGINEFRING have contacted the Contractor and informed him that we are now able to provide anotice-
ENVIRONMENTAI to-proceed with no contingencies attached. He has indicated that, given the wet conditions
MUNILIPAI that we are now experiencing with the frost coming out of the ground, he would like to
NNfNG wait a short period of time to see if the area will dry slightly. He 1s also somewhat
LID WASTE
inhibited now by weight restrictions not allowing the free movement of material and
STRUCTURAL equipment. Therefore, he believes his construction schedule will be to start in late May to
SURVEYING
early June.
TRAFFIC
TRANSPORTATION
This will give us ample time to once again contact the property owners that will be directly
ELECTRICAL/MECHANtCAi affected by the construction activities. We will inform each. property owner by letter of the
ENGINEERING: proposed constnlction schedule, and offer to meet with them individually to discuss any
HVAC concerns or questions they may have.
POWER MSTRIBUTION
scADA If you have any questions regarding this project, I will be in attendance at your March 20,
svsTEM coNTRO~s 1995, City Council meeting.
Sincerely,
MSA, CONSULTING ENGINEERS
Terry J. surer, P.E.
OFFICES IN:
~INNEAPOIIS TJM:tw
RIOR LAKE 211-1601.mar
ST.
