<br /> <br />ITEM 9.2. <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council Members <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Lori Johnson, City Administrator <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />April 16, 2007 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />YMCA Update <br /> <br />There are a couple YMCA related items that will be coming back to the Council for action <br />on May 7 assuming all of the details can be worked out in time. On Monday I will give a <br />verbal update on these items and the YMCA project in generaL <br /> <br />First, we have been working on finalizing the lease with the YMCA and plan to meet with <br />YMCA representatives next week to work through a few outstanding issues. The lease is <br />with the EDA because of the financing structure, but it requires Council approval as well. <br /> <br />Second, a committee of YMCA representatives, city staff, and Council member Gumphrey <br />interviewed construction management companies earlier this week. The interview <br />committee is recommending RJM Construction because of its experience and price. A <br />formal recommendation to enter into a contract with RJM will come forward on May 7 <br />following approval of the lease. <br />
