<br />r(1 -\.( <br />( II <br /> <br />City of ~ <br /> <br />~ll{ River <br /> <br />**CONSENT AGENDA ITEM 8.4.** <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />LORI JOHNSON, FINANCE DIRECTOR ~~ <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />MARCH 17, 1994 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: SALE OF TAX FORFEITED LAND <br /> <br />Sherburne County has provided the City with a list of parcels in the City of <br />Elk River which are to be forfeited to the State for nonpayment of taxes. <br />There are seven tax forfeit properties in the City limits. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Attached you will find a list of the parcels as well as a map showing the <br />location of the parcels. As you may recall, in the past the City has purchased <br />tax forfeit properties as needed for drainage, street improvements, or parks. <br />Staff has reviewed the parcels on the attached list and determined that none <br />of the parcels would be of benefit to the City. Staff is therefore <br />recommending that the City Council approve the sale of each of these parcels. <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />The Council is asked to adopt a motion approving the sale of these properties <br />and authorizing Sherburne County to proceed with the sale of such <br />properties. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />P.O.
