ACH, CITY PLANNER~~

DATE:

FEBRUARY 28, 1994

SUBJECT: CONSIDER CITY INITIATED RE-
ZONING COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE
PLAN CHANGE FOR A PORTION OF
ORONO PARK

OVERVIEW

e

Orono Park has a zoning and land use designation of residential, however,
there is small portion in the northwest corner (former E & 0 Tool site) that
has a zoning of R4 (Multi Family Residential) and a comprehensive land use
of HR (High Density Residential). The appropriate zoning and land use for
that portion of Orono Park would be the designation that is presently in place
on the balance of Orono Park. Therefore, staff is requesting the City Council
consider initiating a rezoning of that portion of Orono Park from R4 (Multi
Family Residential) to RIC (Single Family Residential) and amend the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan from HR (High Density Residential) to MR
(Medium Density Residential).

If the Council approves this request, both of these applications will go before
the Planning Commission on March 22, 1994, and be forwarded to the City
Council on April 18, 1994.

ATTACHMENTS

Zoning Map, Comprehensive Land Use Plan Map

e

P.O.
