<br />e <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2000 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />President Dwyer, Commissioners Koenig, GongolL Klinzing, <br />Thompson, and Motin <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />commissioner Farber <br /> <br />Staff Present: Marc Nevinski ; Acting Director of Economic <br />Development, Pat Klaers; Executive Director, and Sandra Peine; <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />1. Call Meetina To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereot the meeting of the Economic <br />Development Authority was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Dwyer. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 4/24/00 Aaenda <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO APPROVE THE APRIL 24, 2000, EDA AGENDA. <br />COMMISSIONER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Open Mike <br /> <br />No one appeared for open mike. <br /> <br />4. Consider Renewal of Business Incubator Lease <br /> <br />The purpose of the special EDA meeting was to discuss the possibility of extending <br />the Business Incubator building lease. Marc Nevinski explained that the purpose <br />of extending the lease is to give perspective tenants the ability to sub-lease <br />space in the building for a period of at least one year. Marc stated that currently <br />SolarAttic is the incubator's only tenant but several other prospective companies, <br />have contacted the city regarding the incubator program. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the future of the incubator program. It was the <br />consensus of the HRA to seriously discuss whether or not to continue with the <br />program following this next lease extension. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KLINZING MOVED TO RENEW THE LEASE OF THE INCUBATOR <br />BUILDING WITH LARRY HICKMAN FOR 13,186 SF AT A RATE NOT TO EXCEED $1.85 PER <br />SQUARE FOOT. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />. <br />
