- SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL TUESDAY, MAY 27, 1997 Members Present: President Dwyer, Commissioners Bender, Gongoll, Thompson, Farber and Duitsman. - Members Absent: Commissioner Holmgren Staff Present: Paul Steinman, Director of Economic Development; Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Debbie Kleckner, Recording Secretary 1. Call Meetina To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the special meeting of the Economic Development Authority was called to order at 5:45 p.m. by President Dwyer. 2. Consider 5/27/97 EDA Aaenda COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MAY 27, 1997, EDA AGENDA. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. e 3. Discuss Purchase of Lot 2, Block 1, Elk River Industrial Park Paul reported the seller has agreed to a $65,000 purchase price for the remaining lot in the Elk River Industrial Park. Members of the EDA expressed their support for purchasing the property. COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED THE EDA PURCHASE LOT 2 OF BLOCK 1 IN THE ELK RIVER INDUSTRIAL PARK, AS OUTLINED IN THE STAFF MEMO AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT PRESENTED AT THE MAY 27TH EDA MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. 4. Other Business - Summary of June 2, 1997, EDA Worksession Issues Paul indicated Mr. Gerald Duffy will be present at the June 2nd worksession to discuss the Earl Hohlen mobile home park project. Chair Dwyer suggested distributing a copy of the city's T1F policy at that meeting. 5. Adiournment -. There being no further business, COMMISSIONER BENDER MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. e
