MEETING OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1989 MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Tralle, Holmgren, Dobel, Kropuenske, and Schuldt MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Lori Johnson, Finance Director; Dick Fursman, Economic Development Coordinator 1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Economic Development Authority was called to order by Chairman Tralle at 7:00 p.m. 2. Consider 9/25/89 EDA A<<enda COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1990 EDA AGENDA. COMMISSIONER DOBEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 3. Consideration of 9/11/89 EDA Minutes COMMISSIONER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 9/11/89 EDA MINUTES. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 4. Consider 1990 EDA Bud<<et Lori Johnson, Finance Director, distributed an EDA expense sheet. She reviewed the expenses incurred and stated that the current cash balance is approximately $20,000 and there will be approximately $21,000 in additional revenues collected in 1989. Ms. Johnson also reviewed the 1990 proposed budget with the EDA. COMMISSIONER DOBEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1990 EDA BUDGET AS PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. COMMISSIONER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-3, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO LEVY .01813 PERCENT OF THE TAXABLE MARKET VALUE TO FUND THE AUTHORITY'S ANTICIPATED BUDGET NEEDS. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 5. Other Business Dick Fursman indicated that he has been working with Mike Mulrooney on a marketing plan for the Jenne site and would like to present the plan to the EDA as soon as possible. Due to the need to review the marketing plan, Mr. Fursman requested that the EDA call a meeting for October 2, 1989.
