I'-1otion unanimously carried by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />Sherburne County Engineer Rus lvlatchinsky and Sgt. Bill Goenner met with the Commission <br />regarding a proposed addition to their present Sheriffs Office which would require a front <br />yard variance. They were primarily interested at this time what the Commissions feelings \1eI <br />to approve a 6' to 8' front yard variance. <br /> <br />The Commission would be ve~ liberal in granting any neccessary variances needed provided <br />that they present a o-verall comprehensive plan of development to include present and <br />fut ure expansion. <br /> <br />8:00 PM. Chairman Gongoll declared the public hearing requested by Rus Olson to construct <br />a garage ~dthin 4' of the ajoining property. <br /> <br />Therefore i~ was moved by Commission Al Bailey and seconded by Commissioner Larry Toth that <br />the Commission recomrnends to the City Council that a side yard variance be granted to <br />Russel Olson to construct and remove old garage as presented on his permit application. <br />l~otion unan;mously 'c.arried by a vote of 6-0. A copy of the legal notice is attached. <br /> <br />Representatives of .l\finnesota State. Highvlay Dept. out of the Ste Cloud office met ""rith the <br />Commission regarding the Cities proposed service road. The State proposed that before they <br />would approve a permit to construct the service road they vJould require the closing of Rush <br />and Quinn Avenues Highvlay #10 cross overs. After lengthy discussion it vias apparent that at <br />this time no permit would be issued because of the two crossovers. <br /> <br />Dick Fredlund met "uth the Commission and reviet"J'ed his planning program for the City of <br />Elk River for 1976. Mr. Fredlund stated that it would take a total of five years to complete <br />this up dating of our Comprehensive PIano <br /> <br />I'-1o-ved by J ohn ~'lacGibbon and seconded by Dan Bailey that the Commission recommend to the City <br />Council that they retain Mr. Fredlund subject to the 1976 budget and any other funds that <br />may be avaliable. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 10:56 PM. <br /> <br /> <br />
