<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ELK RIVER PLANNING CO~ITSSION <br />AND BOARD OF AJUSTMENTS <br />April 28, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present Chairman Dick Gongoll, Secretary Dan Bail~, Bldg. and Zoning Inspector, <br />Rex Oetinger, Commissioner Lar~ Toth, Al Bailey, Clifford Lundberg, John MacGibbon and <br />George Zabee. <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 31, 1975 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or <br />corrections the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger reviev.led Marvin Georges plans for subdividing of Lot 5, Block 2, School <br />View 1st Addition for the Commission. <br /> <br />Moved by Board member Larry Toth and seconded by Board member Dan Bailey that the Board of <br />Ajustments approve the subdividing of Lot 5, Blo.ck 2 School VieTtI 1st. .Addition as per plans. <br />Motion unanimously carried bya vote of 8-0. A copy of the certificate of record is <br />attached and recorded at the Register of Deeds Office. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the Council redefining of the definition of "Day Care Center" <br />which was an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. Rex stated that Mr. Walker has complied <br />to the changes that he requested. <br /> <br />Commission reviewed Intergated Service, Inc. general preliminary plot proposal which is <br />located outside the 2 mile limite There proposal hrill be referred to the Sherburne County <br />Administrators Office. <br /> <br />Secretary Dan Bailey read the legal notice and list of property owners notified on the <br />side yard variance request of Ken Nelson to construct a garage. No property owner were <br />in attendance for or against the variance. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner George Zabee and seconded by Commissioner Larry Toth that the <br />Commission recommends to the City Council that a side yard variance be granted to Ken <br />Nelson to construct a garage as presented on this permit application. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 8-0. A copy of the legal notice is attached. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission changed the next meeting date to May 28, 1975 because the 26th <br />of May is a Legal Holiday. <br /> <br />Secretary Dan Bailey read the legal notice and list of property O~l.ners notified on the <br />side yard variance request of Gary Peterson to contruct a garage. No property owner were <br />inattendance for or against the variance. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Joh.~ MacGibbon and seconded by Commissioner George Zabee that the <br />Commission recommends to the City Council that a side yard variance be granted to Gary Pete- <br />son to construct a garage as presented on his permit applicationo Motion unanimously carried <br />by a vote of 8-=0. A copy of' the legal notice is attachedo <br /> <br />John Oliver met with the Commission and reviewed his preliminary plot plan of Oak Hills <br />2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Moved by Cormnissioner Clifford Lundberg and seconded by Secretary Dan Bailey that the Comm- <br />ission reconunends to the City Council that the preliminary plot plan of Oak Hills 2nd Addit- <br />ion be approved as presented. Motion-lliJ.an:i.mously carried by a vote of 8-=0.... <br /> <br />Rick Larson substituting for Tom Kolar met with the Co~~ssion wanting to know if there <br />would be utility services available for a 12 UI'l.it apartment bldg. in Johnson Plat Addition <br />His question was referred to the City CotL~cilo <br /> <br />Archie Johnson President of Elk River Home Improvement Co. met with the Commission and <br />reviewed their proposedplans for plotting five (5) acres of land in 18 lots in Walkers <br />Addition Revi ?edo <br />
