<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ELK RIVER PLANl\IING COMMISSION <br />March 31, 1975 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />Members present Chairman Dick Gongoll, Secretary Dan Bailey, Bldg. & Zoning Inspector <br />Rex Oetinger, Commissioner Larry Toth, George Zabee and Clifford Lundberg. <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting were not available at the time of meeting. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the letter and petition regarding Stans Riverside Bar no <br />action was taken at this time as the Commission is still waiting on the survey report <br />on the property size and proposed plans of the building. <br /> <br />8: 00 PM. The public hearing on the Zoning change from R-2 (t\iO family)~ to C-l (office) <br />requested by Financial Partners Inc. was declared open, Secretary Bail~ read the <br />legal notice of the hearing and the list of property owners that were notified. <br /> <br />Ralph C. Brown and Ron Kuhn of Financial Partners Inc. were inattendance as well <br />as property owners notified. As there were no objections to the re-zoning they moved <br />as follo\V's: Moved by Commissioner Toth and seconded by Secretary Dan Bailey that the <br />Commission recommends to the C~ty" Council that the zoning change from R-2 (two family) <br />to C-l (office) on the following descriJ5ed property: Part of" Lot 5, Auditors Sub. . <br />No. 3 in the City of Elk River together with all that part of the Northwest Quarter <br />of the Northeast Quarther of Section 33, Totffiship 33, Range 26 Sherburne County, <br />lying N.E. of the N. E. line of the reight of way of the Burlington Northern, Inc. <br />railroad right of way t lying North of said Lot 5 of Auditors Subdivision No. 3 and <br />Southerly of the Westerly extension of the South line of School Street on laid out <br />in the duly recorded plot of Oak Field 1st Addition, Subject to that part therefore <br />taken for Proctor Avneue. Containing 2.4 acres more or less exclusive of said right <br />of way from R-2 (two family) to 0-1 (office). Requested by Financial Partners Inc. <br />be granted. A COPY' of notice is attached. l~iotion unanimously carried by a vote of <br />6-0. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the letter received from Marvin George Builders requesting <br />to split a lot in School View 1st Addition. After review the Commission moved to <br />call for a public hearing on:,their request for April 28, 1975 at 7:30 PM. Mr. Savela <br />the recorder was instructed to notify Marvin George Builders of the hearing and <br />also request a copy of the surveyors report. <br /> <br />9:00 PM the public hearing on the variance request of Mrs. Walker for a Group Day <br />Care Center at her residence. Secretary Dan Bailey read the notice and list of' J <br />property o~~ers for whom notices were sent. After revie\iing the following actions' was <br />taken; Moved by Secretary Bailey and seconded by Commissioner Zabee that the Commission <br />recommends to the City Council that a Conditional Usage Permit be granted providing <br />that the Sherburne County Bldge code, local Bldg. code, and State of Minno Uniform <br />Bldg. Codes requirements be met regarding Day Care Center. A copy of the notice is <br />attached.
