<br />CITY PLANNING, ELK RIVER MINN. <br />April 29th, 1974. <br /> <br />Hearing on the preliminary. plat of Village Estate~s 2nd .addition <br />in Sec. 30, Tpw. 33, Rng. 26 (Gary SantwifeI. Plat consists of one block <br />with l8 lots allover 1 acre. No access to County road 35 except on <br />Xerxes Street. <br />The question of dedication of land or payment of cash for park <br />purposes was considered and is was M.S.C. that the plat be approved as <br />presented with the request to the County Planning COmmission that either <br />10 per cent of the land or 10 per cent of the cash value of ~he lots sold <br />be turned over to the Park Board for used by it to purchase land for the <br />park system. <br /> <br />Hearing held at 8:00 P.M. on Apr. 29th, 1974 according to duly <br />published notice f~r a variance to construct a warehouse on the property <br />of the Central Lumber Co. mn Block 23 of the Village of Elk River. <br />Only one comment from the public that it be so placed as not to blockthe <br />view from XHRxR*xK Mr. Pink's house. The building to be pole barn type with <br />galvanized siding. To be 75 by 52 plus 12 footlean to . To be placed in the <br />South East corner of the property. The area is zoned C-3 (office Buiading) <br />M.S.C.tm grant the variance with a 5 foot set back on the East and a 10 foot <br />setback on the south, and with the proviso that no further expansion on that <br />site be made in the future. <br /> <br />It was M.S.C. to schedule a hearing for a change of the Zoning Ordinance to <br />Adopt a street plan for the area between the R.R. tract and Scholl Street and <br />between Jackson and Proctor, to be held at the May meeting on Wed. May 29th. <br />A request for a recomendation from the pl~~ning commission concerning <br />the vacation of a street on the North and East side of Block Block l of <br />w. H. Houltons Addition to the Village of Elk RIver. Made by Flora Martin, the <br />owner of Lot 25 of Aud"~ S1.ib~ No.3, in said Village of Elk River r which Lot <br />abutts a portion of said street on the north, Was considered. <br />It was pointed out that the road also serves land owned by the Burlington <br />Northern Roalroad, and was presently useful for access to that land. It was <br />also pointed out that this land may ~~ll be needed in the exp~~sion tor imp~oy~ent <br />of U.s.
