Planning COmmission, Elk RIver, Minn. January Meeting.
Monday January 29th, 1974.

Preliminary Plat of Lundren Homes first Addition was considered.
It would seem that a considerable portion of the required lot area
in some of the lots is under water. The question of whether the pond on
the plat was part of andJor connected to Lake Orono was brought up.
It was moved and seconded to table consideration of this plat
until a further study of the area was made and until the location and size
of the lots could becheck with the county planning commission. Carried.

Plat of Ridgewood East.

Final approval was asked for and granted with the following
requirements: l. That house numbers whould be shown on a copy of the
map turned over to the village.
2. That all streets would be blacktopped within 2 years
or after 50% of the .land was sold or built on, which ever came first.
3. That the minimum mat would be 30 feet wide on all
secondary streets and 40 feet wide on Highland road. and
4. That Atreet signs would be installed by the
developer to city specifications. M.S.C.

Dick Fredland gave a progress report concerning
the current study being conducted by his firm. He presented graphs showing
population trends, a study of the Elk River Liquor st~re Operation (which
indicated that in a year or so there would be no profit at all). Financial
trends in operation of the village and other things.
Also provided anddiscussed was a prport concerning an Annexation Study.
He indicated that there were several pieces that could now be annexed by
resolution, and thatthere were additional areas that would naturally be
subject to annexation. (Copy of the report is attached. )
