ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION
April Meetin. 4-26-7l.

Meeting Called to order by Richard GOngoll.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.

Neil Larson appeared to ask for change of zoning on Johnson Plat
to plat the part west of Johnson Plat into TOWNS EDGE COURT.

He also presented a plan for an18 unit appartment on Outlot B of Johnson plat
with 11 one ER~ bedroom; 6 2 bedroom and 1 efficiency Apartment.

A check of the zoning regulations brough out that a conditional use permit
would be necessary to construct an apparment house there. He retired to
prepair such a permit and submettend the attached petition before the
meeting adjurned. before action could be taken the commission felt that
there needed to be some oorrections of the preliminary drawing. Tabled.

Earl Schulke, Frank Madson and Bill Brady of the Elk River Town Board
appeared to inquire about the planning commissions intentions concerning
annexing parts of the township to the Village.
It appeared that the planning commission was not under any stress for time
like the Town Board was; That the village council would probably take no action
until the planning commission had made a stu~y and reccomendations; That the
first step would be a study of the local sewage disposal system to determin~
its capacity and the feasability of placing additional stress on the present
system; That the Engineer for the fillage is ma~ing a survey of the sewage system
and that no action of any kind woj1d be considerated until that report has been
made and studied.

The posibility of the closing of two R.R. crossing in the near future
made it appear that in case this ~6hould happen that it would become expedient
to make a strong reccommendation to the VIllage COuncil for money to make a
study of New Trafi~Paterns that would result.

Meeting adjuraed.
