Adolphson, Community Development Director <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. <br /> <br />2. John Weicht Variance <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox informed the Commissioners that a variance had been <br />granted over a year ago. Conse~uently, it was not necessary to act <br />on the present variance re~uest. <br /> <br />j. Barthel Homes: Side Yard Variance <br /> <br />No one was present from Barthel Homes. There was a public hearing on <br />the area of 1192-192nd Avenue in the Ridgewood Addition. Jer~r Minor: Lot Size Variance for Sunrise Park <br /> <br />There was a public hearing on Jerry Minor's variance for Sunrise Park. <br />Iiainerd Jacobson wanted to know the nature of the variance. Co~~issioner <br />Fox said that the lot size was smaller than required. Jer~i did <br />eliminate one lot thus increasing the size of the remaining 9 lots. Lots <br />vary in size from~, acres up to 1 acre. Jolln Tillmann as};.:ed about <br />entrance onto Yale. Jer~r Minor said they would not, plus lot 6 <br />would be residential. John Tillmar~ asked about restrictions on how <br />close businesses can be located to the property line on yale street. <br />There does exist alread;y restrictions pointed out-not less than 40'. <br />There was no additional public CO~uents. The Highway Department gave <br />an o.k. Commissioner Zabee asked what type of business Minor had in mind. <br />Jerry Minor had no specific business in mind. Questioned size of lot for <br />building, were they adequate? Jer~T Minor felt that they were. The lot <br />size could present requests for future variances. The variance <br />request is from 2f7 acres d01t\rrl to lots bet't.jeen ~. acre to a little o-,.rer <br />1 acre. JerrJ' felt it is too costly to build on larger lots.
