<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />PLftj~~ING CO~ll~ISSION ~ffiETING <br /> <br />April 24, 1978 <br />7:30 p.r~. <br /> <br />Members present: Chairman Toth, Commissioners Fredericksen, Zabee, Holmes, <br />Driessen, Rootes, Thompson, Fox and Lucas. <br /> <br />Minutes of Sprecial April 10, 1978 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Joe Bodnar was present r~questing a variance for set back for a lot on Simonet <br />Drive and Lake Orono in Plat of Best Point on Lake Orono. This lot is less <br />than the required 100 feet \\tide, having d$~nsions of approYimately 74 t X 200" <br />Building and Zo~ing Administrator .Holmes stated that the only problem was the <br />side yard on Simonet Drive. <br /> <br />Upon Motion of Frenrecksen, seconded by Holmes and carried, a 1% feet -,rariance <br />for set back on the North side of the lot was granted. <br /> <br />There was discussion on possibility of Ed Belanger selling a portion of his <br />small tract of land in Sec. 28 for a home site and the problems that could <br />arise when sanitary sewer and water are extended to those tracts. <br /> <br />There was discussion on signs erected on private property not zoned as Commercial <br />or industrial along the Highvlay. The State Department '-Jants to purchase <br />these tracts of land and remove the signs. They are interested in when the <br />new Zoning Ordinance vrill be completed. The Board felt ~dthin six months it <br />should be about completed. <br /> <br />The meeting was temporarily adjourned at 8:10 P.M. for the Public Hearing on <br />the ~all Cities Block Grant. <br /> <br />Zack Johnson of Mateffy Engineering spoke to the Board briefly. <br /> <br />There 'Alas discussion on problems of small unplatted tracts. <br /> <br />There was a review on the progress made from work sessions on the new Planning <br />and Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission extended the 90 day Moratorium. <br /> <br />~leeting adjourned at 10:1~5 P.I\1. <br /> <br />cJ: <br />~>> <br />Re order <br />
