<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SPECIAL PL~r~rING COVll~ISSION ~ffiETING <br />June 7, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />I~embers present: Cha,irma.n Toth, Commissioners Fox, Driessen, Holmes, Lucas, <br />Rootes and Fredericksen. <br /> <br />There was one correction to the minutes of the May 30, 1978 meeting: The City <br />ltttorney 't-ICtS present l-Jith Zack Johnson to e:x:plain the Interim Ordinance. <br />Minutes were approved as corrected. ~ <br /> <br />Tom Noon and Surveyor John Oliver were present for the special hearing on Mr. <br />Noon's application for zone change from A-l to R-2 in connection with proposed <br />residential-golf cour~e development. One couple from the area was present <br />with questions on the development. Mr. Noon presented a letter to the Board <br />from the firm of Grover Woods & Associates which stated their opinion on the <br />on-sight sewer and wells for each lot. <br /> <br />After discussion, upon motion of Fox, seconded by Lucas and carried, zone <br />change from A-I to R-2 was approved for S.W. t of S.W. i, 31-33-26, for the <br />specific purpose of residential-golf course planned unit development with <br />23 one-half acre lots and a nine hole golf course. <br /> <br />Chairman Toth reported the City Council had approved the new fee schedule to <br />become effective July 1, 1978. They scheduled first hearing on Interim <br />Ordinance for June 19, 1978. The recommendation for George Adamskis Zone <br />change was approved, but it is necessary that he come back for hearing on lot <br />size variance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rootes reported on his groups progress on new ordinance work <br />:::.essions. Their conclusion is that zoned land, designated and approved <br />should retain that zoning. Only a few pertinent changes where an obv~ous <br />change in zoning is necessary should be made. <br /> <br />Zack Johnson reported that EL~ River's chances of receiving a funding grant <br />a.re good. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the need for the City Council to investigate into <br />the Ne\&l City Administrators ha-ving administrative Imo'trlledge of planning "and <br />zoning procedures. <br /> <br />Mobile Homes in the New City, former To~mship, were discussed. <br />Conditional Use Permits come UP for rene1rlal on June 30, 1978. <br />v~olation, ha~~ng never secured permits. <br /> <br />These <br />f1any are in <br /> <br />There vJas discussion on gre.vel permits in the Nev!
