VILLAGE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING SEPTEMBER 25, 1972

Ilstrup Addition: Planning Commission suggested either a
tapa or drainage survey accompany subdivision plat plan.
Also question what County Zoning policy is on a small
addition such as this.

Cliff Lundberg attended representing the Library Board con-
cerning site selection for a new library. Suggested a Slte
located on Jackson Avenue south of Morrell Transfer. Adequate
parking was discussed. The Planning Commission suggested that
the Library Board secure professional help in site selection,
provide recommendations for site selection, provide a site
plan and building description, and possibly have at least two
alternate sites studied.

Duane Engels asked for preliminary approval for a 12 unit
apartment on Outlot B adjacent to apartment house under con-
struction on Main Street and Hy. 169. Rex Oetinger is to
study this and make recommendation.

Dick Nelson, Jerry Harrington and C. W. Merchant presented a
site plan and planned unit development for approximately 25
acres known as the Carton Farm. The planned unit development
called for an initial 84 unit apartment tn be constructed
adjacent to Proctor and Bn. Rwy., built under the 236 subsidized
rent program. Approximate total cost of the project would be
$1,300.000. The rent subsidy program was explained, differing
from the rent supplement program. The subsequent zoning request
will be a change from R2 to R4 with a planned unit development.
Upon motion, a hearing was set for October 30th for this request.

Edward Hooker suggested closer inspection of garages and
accessory buildings after permits 'are issued. He also pointed
out some possible zoning violations in the Fullerton Addition
area.

Richard Gongoll, Acting Sec.
