Beahen, Police Chief <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />Investigator Steven Bockwitz recently retired from the Elk River Police Department. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />Investigator Bockwitz officially retired from the Police Department on March 14t\ 2006, after 31 years of <br />police service. He was originally hired as an officer with the Big Lake Police Department, where he was <br />promoted to the position of Police Chief in 1981. <br /> <br />On January 5, 1988, Steven was hired as a patrol officer here at the Elk River Police Department. He <br />served in that capacity until December 3, 1988 when he was assigned to the investigative unit as a criminal <br />investigator. He served in that position until he retired on March 14th, <br /> <br />Steve was a very valuable member of this agency, and we will be presenting him with a departmental <br />commendation as well as a plaque from the City on Monday night.
