CU 06-03 <br /> <br />Request: Aggregate Industries is requesting to expand their boundaries of their present <br />mining permit. This would enable the company to stockpile material on parcel 75-116-4200 <br />and occasionally in the fall of 2006 and 2007 contract with a crushing operation to crush on <br />this parcel. The site was included in the City of Elk River's 1994 Environmental Impact <br />Statement (EIS) on Mineral Excavation and the processes and practices will stay consistent <br />with those in the EIS. <br /> <br />Attachments: Below is a list of items included in your packet. Please let staff know if you <br />need additional copies. <br />~ A revised Conditional Use Permit (CUP) <br />~ Applicants application for an amendment to their existing CUP <br />~ Letter from Matt Ledvina, City's Environmental Consultant <br />~ Letter from Russ Helling, Sherburne County Public Works Department <br />~ a vicinity map; <br />~ Property boundary map <br />~ Operation Plan map <br /> <br />Issues: <br /> <br />Noise - During crushing operations, the crusher must be placed against the cut face <br />toward Greenhead Acres 3rd Addition to disseminate the sound of the crushing. <br /> <br />Water usage - Any water usage on-site shall not adversely affect adjacent residential <br />wells. Mitigative measures may include, but are not limited to, curtailing of pumping <br />activities until water levels return <br />
