<br />Meeting of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Wednesday, August 13, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Dave Anderson, Commissioners Mike Niziolek (left at 8:37p.m.), Greg <br />Loidolt (left at 8:15p.m.), Hal Stewart, Melissa Fermoyle(left at 8:47p.m.), and <br />Commissioner Jill Varty (arrived at 6:45p.m.) <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Joy Goodwin <br /> <br />Staff Present: Parks and Recreation Manager Jeff Shelby, and Senior Administrative Assistant <br />Dawn Larson <br /> <br />1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting was called to order at 06:30 PM. <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />3. CONSIDER AGENDA <br /> Moved by Commissioner Niziolek and seconded by Commissioner Loidolt to approve the <br />August 13, 2025, agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br />4. CONSIDER MINUTES <br /> <br /> 4.1 07-09-2025 Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> Moved by Commissioner Loidolt and seconded by Commissioner Fermoyle to approve <br />July 9, 2025, Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes. Motion carried 5-0. <br />5. OPEN FORUM <br /> <br />6. PRESENTATIONS, AWARDS, AND RECOGNITION <br /> <br /> 6.1 Summer Program Recap Presented by Recreation Intern Taylor Ryan <br /> Ms. Ryan presented a slide show summarizing her experience as an intern this summer in the Parks and <br />Recreation Department. Eager Elks, Park-a-Palooza, Youth Soccer, Little Rays Day Camp, and Sunshine <br />Explorers were some of the programs she highlighted. <br />7.
