We received 175 <br />applications for the position and interviewed 11 candidates. Following second interviews, a background check, <br />and leadership assessment, we recommend Jacqara Jackson for this position. <br /> <br />Ms. Jackson holds an Associate's degree in Science for Health Professions and a Bachelor's degree in <br />Environmental and Earth Science. She has worked for the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department as both a <br />program manager and outdoor educator. She is a co-founder and property manager at Copperhouse Detroit, <br />which is a cannabis-themed, short-term rental property. She is also the operations manager at Sozo <br />Companies, overseeing the cultivation and processing of cannabis. Ms. Jackson is excited to find this position <br />and join her spouse, who has been working in the upstart of the cannabis industry in Minnesota. <br /> <br />Ms. Jackson will start at step A of pay grade 7E.
