Local #49, public works employees. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The collective bargaining agreement between the City of Elk River and W.O.E. Local 49 expired on <br />December 31, 2024. <br />The union opened the contract for negotiations in November 2024. Following negotiations and mediation, the <br />city and union have agreed to terms on a three-year contract effective January I, 2025, through December 31, <br />2027. <br />The city negotiating team met with the Council twice in closed session to discuss the contract demands.
