Elk Rive <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Mark Hanson — General Manager <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />April 8, 2025 <br />6.1a <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Glencoe Light and Power has expressed interest in the two external fuel tanks at the power <br />plant. They plan on visiting the site in the next couple of weeks to inspect the tanks and <br />make a final determination. I will update the Commission as more details are known. <br />• 1 have registered for the American Public Power Association's Spring Education Institute in <br />Orlando, Florida, May 5-9, 2025. 1 will be attending courses on Cost of Service and Rate <br />Design to prepare for our cost of service study this fall with Dave Berg Consulting. <br />• The Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) Board of Directors met March 25, 2025, at <br />Chaska City Hall in Chaska, Minnesota and via videoconference. Commissioner Stewart and I <br />attended. The public summary follows: <br />o The Board reviewed the Agency's financial/operating performance for February <br />2025. <br />o Participation in the residential Clean Energy Choice program increased by 57 <br />customers. Customer penetration for the program is 6.1%. <br />o The Board discussed the status of renewable projects the Agency is pursuing. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />209 <br />
