Elk Rive <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Mark Hanson — General Manager <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />April 8, 2025 <br />1.6 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Recognition of Employee Longevity — Mike Tietz, 8 years; Chris Sumstad, 24 years <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Recognize staff for their service and award the respective Longevity Bonus paycheck <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In September 2021, the Commission approved a Longevity Pay benefit to be paid to qualifying, <br />eligible employees based on their years of service according to the schedule below. <br />8 years <br />$1,550 <br />12 years <br />$2,025 <br />16 years <br />$2,100 <br />20 years <br />$2,125 <br />24 years <br />$2,300 <br />28 years <br />$3,000 <br />32 years <br />$3,000 <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Mike Tietz has been an employee with ERMU since April 28, 2017, earning an 8-year longevity <br />pay benefit. Chris Sumstad has been an employee with ERMU since April 30, 2001, earning a 24- <br />year longevity pay benefit.
