Members present were Steve E1hen, Les Anderson, Pat Miko1s, Ken Nelson, Darrell Mack, Rolfe Anderson and Mike O'Brien. Previous meeting's minutes were read and approved. Treasurer's report was read and approved. Les moved and Steve seconded a motion to authorize Jim to pay Appreciation Dinner bill and costs associated with 1980 Financial Report. Motion carried. Copies of the 1980 Financial Report were distributed. Lloyd moved and Les seconded a motion to approve the 1980 Financial Report. Motion carried. A copy is attached. Old Business: A. The new baseball field fence has been received and will be installed soon. B. A representative from the gymnastics group will be asked to attend the next Board meeting to discuss 1981 Gymnastic Program. C. The by-laws of the Basketball League have not been received yet. A follow-up request will be made. D. Discussion occurred as to what the Board membership should be and what criteria, if any, should be established for membership. It would appear that an odd number membership is best and that a nine (9) member Board would be advantageous. The Board's by-laws are being reviewed by the Council and possibly some additional requirements could result. Darrell will check existing City ordinances to see what other limitations or requirements might exist. V. E. Community Theatre will present the Odd Couple for its spring play and a need exists for the $500 already encumbered. Mike moved and Ken seconded a motion to send a check for $500 to the theatre group. Election of 1981 Officers: Comments were made concerning the efforts and leadership shown by Jim Dingle during his tenure as Chairman. It was the unanimous position of the Board that the record should include these comments.
