<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />,., <br /> <br />ELK <br /> <br />RIVER PARK BOARD <br />CITY HALL <br />July 26, 1977 <br />7:45 P.M. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Steve Ostby. <br /> <br />Chairman Gene Schuldt, Walt Schumacher, <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />Ken Nelson, Stan Moreland. <br /> <br />Minutes of 6-28-77 meeting read and approved. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVIEW: Balance sheet prepared by City Clerk was reviewed. <br />Items listed were unclear and further clarification will be asked. <br />Most important are: Utilities expenditure and wages. Also, <br />Satellite use expenditure was not included or $231.38 for new <br />field lights, and lifeguard wages. <br /> <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS <br />Well Estimate: Steve Ostby got an estimate from Jim Mevission <br />@$7.00 a foot. Daryl McAlpine quoted $6.50 a foot. Both for a <br />4-inch well. A 2-inch well can be sunk for $150.00. Depth of <br />well~ to provide good drinking water, should be80to 100 feet. <br />Adding a submersible pump, cost would be approximately $1,000.00. <br /> <br />Securit Li ht and Yield Si n. Motion by Ostby, seconded by <br />Schumacher to ave yiel sign installed on Gary Street at Orono <br />Park. Passed unanimously, to be installed as soon as possible. <br />Street light proposal will be considered in Spring 1978 to be <br />installed for Summer use only, months of May thru August. <br /> <br />Outfield Fence. Steve Ostby will contact Dale Borquist regarding <br />gate repair and fence spacer. If cost does not exceed $150.00, <br />job will be let without further approval. <br /> <br />Beach Gates. Tabled until further information about original intent <br />and authority, plus current need can be obtained. <br /> <br />Bleachers. Stan Moreland got an estimate of $2,800.00 for repair. <br />Item will have to be carried over to 1978 budget. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 9:35 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br />
