Meeting of the Beautification and Public <br />Art Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />City Of Monday, November 18, 2024 <br />Elk ---� <br />River <br />Members Present: Committee Member Deb Hjermstad, Committee Member Melissa McAlpine, <br />Councilmember Jennifer Wagner, Committee Member Ryan Hardin, Committee <br />Member Nic Hahn, Commissioner Dan Tveite <br />Members Absent <br />Staff Present Economic Development Specialist Josh Mollan, and Senior Planner Chris <br />Leeseberg <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting was called to order at 3:45 PM by Josh. <br />2. CONSIDER AGENDA <br />Moved by Jennifer and seconded by Dan to approve the agenda. Motion Carried 6-0. <br />CONSIDER MINUTES <br />3.1 10-21-2024 Beautification and Public Art Committee Minutes <br />Moved by Ryan and seconded by Melissa to approve the October 21, 2024, Meeting <br />Minutes. Motion Carried 6-0. <br />4. GENERAL BUSINESS <br />4.1 Public Art <br />Josh shared the details of the public art reveal event <br />Dan shared that he had not heard back from the local banks regarding the sponsorship of Where Energy <br />Flows. <br />Josh shared that he will request the final $2,000 be covered by the EDA. <br />Jennifer suggested asking the Mayor to speak at the reveal event. <br />Josh advised that staff will continue to look into mural repair for the stucco at the Cinema Building. <br />Jennifer shared that mural repair at Rivers Edge Commons may be a City Council initiative. <br />Josh shared Noble Wins wind turbine benches as a potential project <br />
