Meeting of the Elk River <br />Heritage Preservation Commission <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />iver Thursday, May 16, 2024 <br />Members Present: Chair Lance Lindberg, Commissioners Zachary Griffiths, Tony Mauren, and Gavin Tuckey <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Jayne Dietz and Linda Campbell <br />Council Liaison: Councilmember Cory Grupa <br />Staff Present: Community Development Director Zack Carlton <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Heritage Preservation Commission <br />was called to order at 6:04 p.m. by C:bair Lindberg. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Chair Lindberg led the commission in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. Consider Agenda <br />Moved by Commissioner Mauren and seconded by Commissioner Griffiths to approve the May 16, <br />2024, Heritage Preservation Commission agenda. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />4. Consider Minutes <br />Moved by Commissioner Mauren and seconded by Commissioner Tuckey to approve the March <br />21, 2024, Heritage Preservation minutes. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />5.1 HPC at the Farmer's Market <br />Mr. Carlton discussed preparations for the HPC attending the June 20 Farmers Market at 3:00 p.m. <br />Trivia: the commission reviewed and modified the list of trivia questions and ranked them in order of <br />difficulty. <br />Clipboard: available for oral history sign-up or contact information. <br />Plinko board and candy: available for trivia questions. <br />HPC posters: will have the CAR code on them to direct folks to either the documentary or history minutes <br />on the city's website. <br />Mr. Carlton asked Chair Lindberg to work with Mike Brubaker from the Sherburne History Center to <br />compile the list of completed histories. The commission will review and discuss the oral history list at the <br />July HPC meeting. <br />
