Meeting of the Elk River EDA Beautification Committee <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, August 14t'', 2023 <br />Members Present: Deb Hjermstad, Melissa McAlpine, Ryan Hardin (10:10 a.m.) <br />Staff Present: Josh Mollan, Economic Development Specialist <br />Others Present Jennifer Wagner, Sharon Tracy (10:11 a.m.) <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the EDA Beautification Committee was called to <br />order at 10:05 a.m. by Josh. <br />2. Consider Agenda <br />Moved by Melissa and seconded by Deb to approve the agenda. Motion carried 2-0. <br />3. Consider Minutes <br />Moved by Melissa and seconded by Deb to approve July 10, 2023, Meeting Minutes as written. <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br />4.1 Marketing Strategy for 2023 Activities <br />Josh advised that staff will reprint the flyer with the updated QR code and give to Karen for the famers <br />market and the magazine stand in city hall. <br />Melissa will display the flyer on multiple ad walls around town. <br />Melissa shared that the flyer will be published in the chamber newsletter and digital sign. <br />4.2 General Updates <br />Josh advised that the Together Elk River Committee is close to approving new banners for downtown. <br />(Ryan joined at 10.10 a.m.) <br />(Sharon joined at 10:11 a.m.) <br />Josh provided Ryan an update of what was covered prior to his arrival. <br />Deb asked if there is a target date for the downtown banners. <br />Josh advised that they expect them to be done in the next few months. <br />
