The CMAB board review is May 9 when it will be determined if the $8,000 grant <br />request will be awarded to Carey Dean's "Where Energy Flows" project. Staff will attend the April 22nd <br />Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission meeting to request final approval of the concept and location of <br />the installation at the facility. <br /> <br />Regarding the Together Elk River Committee, staff has connected with multiple businesses on Carson Avenue <br />to collaborate on promotional Facebook Reels. Additionally, staff and members of the chamber have met with <br />OrangeBall and approved the first round of 169 Redefine social posts. <br /> <br />The committee is down to four members after a resignation last month and has desired to include more <br />voices from local businesses to strengthen the reach and impact of the committee. Tamara Ackerman, Avalon <br />Salon owner, is interested in joining the committee. Tamara is passionate about helping the city and <br />businesses in the area. She previously served on the Beautification Committee. She is also an active member <br />of the Downtown Elk River Business Association.
