At the May 6, <br />2024, Regular City Council Meeting, the Council expressed a consensus not to seek an interim police chief <br />during a market search for a replacement. The Council also directed staff to solicit proposals from executive <br />recruiting firms to perform the recruitment. <br />Three proposals were received from the following firms: <br />- DDA Human Resources <br />- MGT/GovHR <br />- GMP Consultants <br />Each of the firms is highly regarded for municipal executive searches and has the resources and demonstrated <br />experience to complete a successful recruitment. <br />Financial Impact <br />The Police Department personnel budget has sufficient funds available due to the ongoing officer and CSO <br />vacancies and the delayed onboarding of the newly added records clerk position. <br />Mission/Policy/Goal <br />The Elk River Vision <br />Attachments <br />I.
