Ji <br />Elk River �. <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Mark Hanson —General Manager <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 8, 2024 <br />1.4 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Recognition of Employee Longevity — Mitch Girtz, 12 Years <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Recognize Mitch Girtz for 12 years of service and award the Longevity Bonus paycheck. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In September 2021, the Commission approved a Longevity Pay benefit to be paid to qualifying, <br />eligible employees <br />based on their years of service according to the schedule below. <br />8 years <br />$1,550 <br />12 years <br />$2,025 <br />16 years <br />$2,100 <br />20 years <br />$2,125 <br />24 years <br />$2,300 <br />28 years <br />$3,000 <br />32 years <br />$3,000 <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Lead Lineworker Mitch Girtz has been an employee with ERMU since October 15, 2012, and, <br />therefore, has earned the 12-year longevity pay benefit.
