Elk River
Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
TO:
FROM:
ERMU Commission
Tony Mauren — Governance & Communications Manager
MEETING DATE:
AGENDA ITEM NUMBER:
May 14, 2024
6.1d
SUBJECT:
Staff Update
ACTION REQUESTED:
None
DISCUSSION:
• In May, all customers will receive the attached flyer about SmartHub's Auto Pay
program.
• Social media posts this month feature the commission meeting notice, SmartHub Auto
Pay, Drinking Water Week, as well as the Memorial Day closure and garbage service
delay.
• Communications staff has completed updating the website, forms, and processes for
the residential and commercial rebate programs to be in line with the services provided
by Frontier Energy. Kudos to Jenny for working through this intricate, multi -phased
process!
• The 3CX chat feature is live on ERMU's website. During business hours customers will be
able to reach a customer service representative to have quick questions answered.
Customers can launch chat by clicking on the floating button in the bottom right corner,
which appears on all pages of the site.
• National Energy Foundation presented to fourth graders at Meadowvale, Parker,
Lincoln, and Twin Lakes Elementary's, April 24 -26. This budgeted initiative teaches
students about types of energy, how it gets to their homes, and how to use it more
efficiently. An additional benefit of the program is that students receive ERMU branded
energy saving kits to take home and apply what they've learned, while educating their
guardians about conservation. Jenny and I attended the first session, which went very
well.
ATTACHMENTS:
• Bill Insert — SmartHub Auto Pay Program
Page 1 of 1
221
